Unknown fate of 7 political prisoners

zindani_urmieURMIYE, East Kurdistan, — Pressure on the political prisoners has been notably increasing. According to our latest correspondences the situation of the political prisoners taken to unknown place is unclear.

Seven Kurdish political prisoners, who had been held in Urmiye prison, were taken to unknown place for unknown reason since 14 February.

The prisoners named as Hebibullah Golperipur, Eli Ehmed Suleyman, Ehmed Temuyi, Mustefa Eli Ehmed, Cehangir Badozade, Mustefa Kake Memi and Yosof Rehmanipur.

It is being reported that although their families have been visiting the prison for several times, they have not been informed of the whereabouts of prisoners.

It should be noted that Hebibullah Golperipur is charged with membership in one of the Kurdish political parties and sentenced to death.

Ehmed Temuy is sentenced to 14 years for the same charge.

Mustefa Eli Ehmed is charged with endangering the national security and sentenced to 10 years.

Mustefa Kake Memi is charged with involvement with a political party opposing the regime, and sentenced to 6 years.

Yosof Rehmanipur is sentenced to 5 years.
