NORTH KURDISTAN, — Within simultaneous attacks carried out in at least sixteen cities Turkish police has taken 137 Kurds into custody.
The raids were carried out within the context of the so called KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) operation.
The headquarters of BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) in Ankara, Adana, Batman, Merdin, Wan, Erzurum, Colemerg, Muş, Amed, Istanbul, Mersin, Şirnak, Izmir, Urfa, Antep and Hatay were all targeted. The raids are reported going on in some areas.
In Ankara Confederation of Public Sector Trade Unions (KESK), Trade Union of Public Employees in Health and Social Services (SES) and Municipal Workers’ Union (TÜMBELSEN) have been targeted by police.
