IRAN, — Twelve people were executed on 15th January by the Iranian Authorities in the city of Shiraz, Mehr news agency reported.
Seven of the victims were hanged in the early morning all together in the prison yard of Shiraz prison. Five others were hanged in the public on the same day in the same city.
It was stated that the prisoners were executed with different excuses such as drag dealing, murdering, kidnapping and armed robbery.
Every year many people are hanged by the Iranian regime for different reasons. With reference to formal statistics including these cases 54 people have been hanged within the last 2 weeks of 2012.
