AMED, — According to Firat News the house of Kurdish well-known politician and Amed’s deputy Leyla Zana was raided by police. She was not home at the time of the raid, report said.
It is reported that the raid was carried out within the context of so-called KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) operation ongoing in 11 cities.
It should be noted that Leyla Zana had remarked that the concept of self-determination is an universal right and the people of Kurdistan should be allowed to hold a referendum to determine their future.
Leyla also stated on 27 December 2011, one day before the Massacre of Roboski, that autonomy is would not suffice for Kurdistan.
