MEDYA REGIONS, — In a statement the Presidency of Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) points to the “isolation punishment under isolation” of the Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan and called on all Kurdish people to “step up their protest activity”.
“With a strong reaction to the most recent solitary confinement imposed on Kurdish national leader Ocalan, the Imrali torture system has gone beyond the limits of toleration,” the KCK statement reads.
The statement added that “The AKP government is increasing its attacks on the Kurdish people, their leader and guerrilla forces by deciding on slaughter, massacre and extortion instead of peaceful and democratic ways. This wave of attacks which is run in parallel with an intense psychological warfare under the leadership of AKP ministers has come to a head with the most recent Roboski slaughter, the solitary confinement and the visit ban imposed on leader Ocalan. In addition, the efforts given to find a legal cover for the aggravated unlawful isolation of Ocalan have brought the situation to an intolerable point.”
