IZMIR, Turkey, — A young boy Gazi Akbayir from the city of Dersim, who asked for a song in Kurdish, was stabbed and then shot dead by a group of Turkish men.
According to ANF, Gazi Akbayir requested a song in his mother-tongue in a bar in Aliaga district of Izmir. Following the performance of the song in Zazaki dialect of Kurdish, Gazi was stabbed behind by a group of Turkish men.
While he was taken out of the bar, lying in a pool of blood, the group shot this young boy eight times. He lost his life on the way to hospital.
While assailants managed to escape from the scene, police took three people into custody following an investigation. One of the detainees was carrying two guns that were used in the attack. One more person is reportedly sought by police in connection with the murder.
