NEWSDESK, — Mezdek Mahabad a coordination member of Kurdistan’s Free Life Party (PJAK) strongly reacted to the strict isolation of the Kurdish national leader, Abdullah Ocalan.

While the strict isolation of Ocalan, including deprivation of his lawyers’ visits is entering fifths months, Kurdish people’s condemnation of such move is increasing.
Pointing to the fact the Kurdish national leader was arrested and abducted as a result of international conspiracy, Mezdek remarked that the international powers shouldn’t overlook the attachment and loyalty of the Kurdish people to Ocalan.
“To diminish the influence of Ocalan, they have incarcerated him in Imrali prison for years. But the Kurdish people has taken strong position against such approach, sturdily resisted to Turkish position and has paid a significant cost in this respect. The international and regional powers particularly the Turkish state should not regard Leader Apo [Ocalan] only as a person,” said Mezdek.
In regard to the escalating pressure on Ocalan, he said, “the current stance of the Turkish regime in regard to Leader Apo present application of pressure on the Kurdish people.”
In relation to the current aggression against the Kurdish people and the Kurdish national leader, Mezdek called for arbitration and appropriate approach of the intellectuals, artists and particularly the Kurdish people in East of Kurdistan.
“If we want a free and democratic life we should protect Leader Apo. We should show that the foes are not able to destroy our will-power. The Kurdish people in East Kurdistan who experienced the Epic of Qendil and devoted martyrs such as Simko, Egid, Befrin and tens of other martyrs; a people who have dedicatees such as Shirin, Ferzad, Ferhad and Soran, who paraded the culture of resistance in prison, should always shield its national values,” Mezdek concluded.
