Oppression of the Kurds

EAST KURDISTAN, — A prisoner’s sentence increased after appealing in court and another Kurdish youth was sentenced to two years imprisonment, local sources reported.

The sentence of a Kurdish political activist named Rustem Erkia doubled from 10 years imprisonment to 20 years by the Iranian appeal court.

Mr Erkia had been condemned to 10 years imprisonment with political charges. He believed that his charge was really unfair and thus Mr Erkia had appealed against it.

Another Kurds named Shukur Temoyi from Selmas city was sentenced to two years in custody by Urmiye’s court.
