AMED, Kurdish Capital, — Turkish police and a unit of DEDAŞ (Amed’s Tigris Electricity Distribution Company) raided the BDP building in Cizre a district of Şırnak province with armed vehicles on the pretext of electricity theft control.
The local people and the students from the nearby school were subjected to gas bomb attack after chanting slogans to protest the raids.
While students responded to police with stones, a student named Yusuf Ogen was injured in the head with a gas bomb thrown by police. It was observed during the police attack that gas bombs were consciously thrown at some houses in the area.
