KARAJ, Iran — Violent quarrel broke out between prisoners of Rejaye-Shahr prison which cost the life of a prisoner and injured several seriously, human right activists reported.
A violent clash broke out on Saturday 5th November among the political prisoners and a group of criminals in section 6 of Rejaye Shahr prison in the city of Karaj.
A young prisoner named Naser Penahpoor lost his life after he was stabbed several times inside the prison. Mr Penahpoor was arrested 4 years ago when he was 18 years old.
Mr Mehdi Selehshur, Hemidreza Kamrani, Muhemmed Keremi and Hussein Emincani are the other political prisoners who were wounded in the event. Mr Selehshur was transferred to Karaj hospital as he was in a very serious situation.
It has been stated that the fighting had been planned and provoked by the head of prison Muhemmed Merdani and Fereji Nejad the head of intelligent service of Karaj city.
“All doors of the hall, where the incident had happened, were locked by the prison officers and no one approached until the conflict ended”, the family of prisoners alleged.
Iranian government have attempted to suppress its opponents utilizing diverse methods. This time for controlling political prisoners, the regime set a gang of prisoners against political prisoners.
