AMED, Kurdish Capital, — In response to the increasing wave of arbitrary arrests of Kurdish political and civil activists, the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) has developed its own plan through several Kurdish cities.
According to ANF, among the actions to be discussed and agreed on are a campaign in defense of the right to be a BDP member; the preparation of a comprehensive file on the so called KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) case.
Preparations are underway also for a campaign called “I am sharing the same political ideas and practices of the KCK prisoners”.
Meeting are to take place in different cities, beginning with Amed (Diyarbakir) on 19 November and Istanbul on 20 November.
On 25 November, Day against violence against women, the BDP women council will be present with its own program and slogans.
The BDP also urged members and structures to support those professors who have expressed their intention to give lessons at the BDP political academy in solidarity with the jailed academics.
