2 Kurdish workers shot dead by Iranian Border Guards

jini_kolberBANE, — Killing of Kurdish workers who toil on the pseudo-borders of Kurdistan has become a daily phenomenon. Iranian Border Guards shot two workers dead yesterday.

According to Kurdpa New Agency, the Iranian Border Guards opened gunfire on a group of Kurdish workers who were passing Keridawa village in Bane city on Saturday 22 October. Two workers identified as Metleb Haci Ferec and Omid were killed on the spot.

According to the Kurdpa’s statistic, only in the last 7 months, the Iranian soldiers have killed 52 workers and wounded 36. Other sources have announced the death toll higher than this number.

It should be noted that due to high level of unemployment many Kurds undertake the perilous task of working on the borders brining in goods. They are shot by the Iranian soldiers guarding the border regions. In some case the soldiers shoot the workers horses.
