MERIWAN, – Iranian state officials notified people of Meriwan city regarding the closure the border market, Koordpa News Agency reported.
Meriwan is a Kurdish city close to south of Kurdistan. Due to high level of unemployment, most people bring goods from south of Kurdistan and sell them in the east of Kurdistan.
Although Kurdistan is rich for minerals, oil, and agriculture but there are not enough jobs and most people are engaged with this occupation.
Kani Canar market of Meriwan has been the only source of income for many people of the region. It is now shut down causing more people facing poverty.
The Iranian authorities notified shopkeepers and traders that the market is now closed and if any one brings goods they will be shot dead.
