QENDIL, — The Council of HRK (East Kurdistan Defence Forces) which is the armed wing of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) declared a statement in which it prohibits the acts of hunting in all mountains of Kurdistan.
A copy of statement sent to Rojhelat reads as follow:
Due to the coming of the hunting season and the touring of hunters in the mountains, to protect the environment from the excessive hunting, to reduce the possibility of the hunters being used by the Iranian Intelligence Service and the Islamic Revolution Guards, as the Council of East Kurdistan Defence Forces (HRK) we prohibit the act of hunting in all mountains of East Kurdistan.
We practise this decision from today 17 October and do expect everyone in East of Kurdistan to take it into consideration. Any one who acts contrarily shall be prosecuted.
