IRAN, — Nine people were hanged by the Iranian authorities on different grounds and in different part of the country, several resources reported.
According to the ISNA, in the morning time of Sunday 16th October 2 people were executed in the central prison of Sari on the ground of drug dealing.
Another prisoner was hanged in public with the charge of sexual abuse in Merodesht city.
Human right activists have also reported the execution of another 6, one of whom was originally from Afghanistan. Their execution took place in the prison of Zahidan on 15th October on the ground of drug dealing.
According to published statistics regarding execution 507 people have been hanged in the prisons of the Islamic Republic of Iran since the beginning of 2011.
