Kebudwend’s letter to Ahmed Shahid

KebudwendTEHRAN, — Mohammad Sediq Kebudwend, the founder of the Kurdistan Human Right Organisation, wrote a letter to Ahmed Shahid, the expert reporter of the Human Right Organisations of Iran.

Ahmed Shahid, the expert reporter of Human Right Organisation requested a permission to visit the political prisoners and see the prison situations in Iran. However, his request for doing so was refused by the Iranian authorities.

In his letter, Kebudwend expressed his sympathy with Ahmed Shahid regarding the refusal of his visiting of Iran’s prisons and meeting with the political prisoners.

He ascertained that he is disappointed with this refusal and see the gloomy situation will not improve. Kebudwend alleged that ‘the inability of Ahmed to visit the prison means that our waiting for a reporter to come and see the situation of human right and political prisoners was just a dream and we should only wish it’.

He assured that Shahid would try his best until he acquire the permission and would certainly make a report regarding this.

Mohammad Sediq Kebudwend is a jailed Kurdish journalist and a human right activist. He was arrested on July 1, 2007 and detained by Intelligence agents and is held in Evin prison, in Tehran, since then.

Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court of Iran sentenced him to an 11 year imprisonment. He was accused of attempts against national security by establishing Kurdish Human Right Organisation in Kurdistan province of Iran.

Kebudwend suffers from acute cardiac distress, prostate and sever headaches. Considering an earlier heart attack and his blocked blood vessels, he is in grave danger and suffers serious health risks.
