Guerrilla funeral turns into battlefield

Turkish_PoliceMERSIN, — Turkish police turned the funeral ceremony of Kurdish guerrilla Sadık Kaya (Rojhat) into a battle-field when they arrested at least 120 attendants.

Kaya lost his life in a clash in Pazarcık in province of Marash. He was to be buried in Mersin, Guneykent graveyard, but the last farewell turned into a battlefield with police on the rampage assaulting the people attending the ceremony.

The police attacked the crowd with tear gas and arrested 120 people, including BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) local president Cihan Yilmaz.
