BADINAN, — People’s Defence Forces (HPG) released a statement on yesterday in relation to the fate of the Turkish teachers who were arrested by the Kurdish guerrillas for implementing Turkish assimilation policies in Kurdistan.
According to the statement four teachers who were detained in Lice and Hazro, were released at around 22.00 last night.
HPG reassured in the statement that 12 captured teachers would be released soon since they are not the target of their actions.
HPG underlined that the capture of the teachers have to be interpreted as a warning to the Turkish state and government, noting that the action is carried out against state policies, not civilians.
