Iran’s extensive attack on Qendil

pasdar_-_katoshaQENDIL, — Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) resumed its assaults on Qendil Mountains in South Kurdistan that has been resisted by the Kurdish guerrillas of PJAK (Free Life Party of Kurdistan).

After the embarrassing defeat that Iran suffered following its initial offensives on Qendil Mountains in 16th July, it has been gathering troops and resumed its assaults on yesterday at 10 am.

The Iranian Revolution Guards Corps attacked the village of Zele in Qendil from three different positions yesterday evening.

Despite that the Iranian forces possessed heavy weaponries they were resisted by the Kurdish guerrillas of PJAK’s.

In yesterday’s fighting 21 Revolution Guards and 6 mercenaries have been killed, said Kurdish guerrilla sources. Several military vehicle of were also destroyed.

In the meantime heavy clashes broke out in Weze area last night at 2 am between the two sides. According to the local sources, the Kurdish guerrillas ambushed the Iranian Revolution Guards who sought to make incursion into South Kurdistan. Several Revolution Guards and local mercenaries were killed and one tank was totally destroyed.
