BETLIS, — The crimes committed against the Kurds by the regional colonialism are coming to light each day. After the opening of the mass graves in Dersim, eight more mass graves are to be opened this time in Bitlis.
Last year hundreds of families had submitted a request to the Human Rights Association in Bitlis in order to get help with procedures to claim the remains of their beloved.
The first mass grave in the area was actually in the Gendarmerie back garden, where rubbish was thrown.
The 8 mass graves to be opened are:
Deliklitaş: 2 mass graves, 22 guerrillas buried
Arap koprusu: 2 mass graves, 8 guerrillas buried
Karez: 1 mass grave, 33 guerrillas buried
Bitlis brook: 2 mass graves, 50 guerrillas buried
Mutki, near the Armenian church Himo: 1 mass grave, 8 people buried
