Turkish troops stationed in Serdesht, East Kurdistan

turkey-iran-_cannonSERDESHT, East Kurdistan, — Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched a series of offensives on South Kurdistan starting on 16th July. It was founded out that a brigade of Turkish army consisting of 500 troops were stationed in Serdesht city in East of Kurdistan.

A source close to the Iranian Besij (state’s militias) and Islamic Revolution Guards Corps revealed that the Turkish and Iranian sides have set an accord together and agreed on three points:

  1. Through the Turkish soil, Iran sends weaponries and ammunitions to Lebanon Hezbollah and Turkey would turn blind eye on that.
  2. The ammunitions that had previously Iran sent to Hezbollah, and Turkey confiscated it, will be returned back to Iran.
  3. Turkey and Iran would both launch joint military operations against the PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) and PJAK (Free Life Party of Kurdistan).

The similar source has also revealed that a brigade of 800 Islamic Revolution Guards from Esfahan was despatched to Kurdistan.

In the meantime the Iranian Artilleries have started shelling of the border regions particularly Choman and the neighbouring of Weze village, local sources reported.

This shelling has not led to live casualty but it has inflicted a great suffering to the nature and the vegetation lives of the regions.

It should be noted that as a result of the Iranian invasion of South Kurdistan and its ongoing shelling of the Kurdish villages, 3 innocents have lost their lives, 11 people are injured, more than 35 villages are deserted, hundreds of families rendered homeless, hundreds of livestock perished and the natural and pastoral lives of the regions are significantly damaged.
