HPG: 8 Turkish troops killed

guerriglierikurdiBADINAN, — The People’s Defence Forces (HPG) declared in a statement that their forces have launched a strike on a military vehicle of Turkish army and killed 8 troops.

The HPG stated that the action was carried out in an area between the village of Gite and the border at Xabur at around 6.30 pm on the 11 of August.

HPG also said the Turkish army is continuing its operations in the localities of Dersim city.

In an earlier statement HPG warned of Turkish army that ‘not a single offensive will remain unanswered’.

HPG is the military wing of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) that is supported by millions of Kurds in all parts of Kurdistan as well as the Kurdish community in Diaspora.
