SERDESHT, — tomorrow is the 24th anniversary of the chemical bombardment of Serdesht district by Saddam’s war planes, in which hundred of Kurdish civilian were killed and thousands were wounded.
In the seventh days of the summer of 1987, at 4:30 pm, the Iraqi war planes flew over the city of Serdesht and hit it with four chemical bombs and its suburb with three.
As a result of the bombing 110 people were killed in Serdesht and the surrounding villages and more than 8000 people injured.
Hundreds of people who survived the fatal bombing have been suffering form various heath problem caused by the chemical substance.
