PJAK’s statement in relation to recent efforts to backlist the movement

alaye_PJAKQENDIL, Defence Regions of Medya, — Press and Publication Centre of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK), released a statement in which it draws attention on the regime’s latest efforts to blacklist the organisation.

Sensing the danger of PJAK’s increasing advancement among the Kurdish society, Iran has tried to depict the movement as non-democratic and as obstacle to the Kurdish issue. To this end, they have introduced some of their proxies as ‘civil activist’ to the society and through those, they fabricate groundless allegation against PJAK.

In the statement the Press and Publication Centre of PJAK, denounce those allegations made by certain people calling themselves as ‘civil activist’, and once again repeat that the organisation launches a pro-democracy struggle aiming for a democratic solution to the Kurdish issue.

In the last few days some people called themselves as “civil activists”, have tried to tarnish PJAK’s reputation in East Kurdistan. Their main aim is to display their loyalty to the Iranian regime as well as the Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) who is responsible for countless crimes and atrocities in Kurdistan.

The Press and Publication Centre of PJAK point out to Iran’s efforts to blacklist and terrorise the Kurdish resistance movement and writes as follow:

“To draw attention on various dimensions of these plans, we have tried to shed lights in these issues and inform our people as well as the public, and this is our democratic right. But in the last few days some people have tried to make use of our response to gain reputation for themselves and by doing so they have played a new role in the Iranian scheme to blacklist our movement. We do clarify that PJAK is leading a pro-democracy struggle for the achievement of Kurdish democratic rights”

“PJAK is the direct consequence of the human right violation, and the Iranian oppressive and non-democratic polices in East Kurdistan. One of PJAK’s main aims is to generate a peaceful and calm atmosphere and to create satisfactory ground for the freedom of speech. Owing to this, we as PJAK deem that as our legitimate right to respond to any type of attack aiming to denigrate and defame our resistance. This is for the aim of protecting our people’s national and democratic rights,” the statement added

At the end of the statement PJAK’s Press and Publication Centre write;”the allegation made by some people that we have threatened their lives is false; this is only misrepresentation and distortion of the truth, which the Iranian Islamic Regime is carrying out by availing of certain individuals so called as ‘civil activist’. By all means we are against the employment of violence and none of those people are our military target.”
