QENDIL, Defence Regions of Medya, — The Intelligence Service of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) said in a statement that the Iran and Turkey are preparing for a joint military operation against the Kurdish guerrillas.
“From 6th March the Revolutionary Guards Corps have been dispatching a considerable number of Besiji Militias and the local collaborators to the province of East Azerbaijan, particularly to the Kurdish districts of Urmiye, Khoy, and Selmas,” the statement said.
“These forces had been trained under the supervision of the Military Guards Corps and the Turkish Military and the Intelligent Units. They had received special training for the military operations, storming of civilian inhabited areas/houses and arresting of people,” the statement added.
“Since, these forces have been dispatched and put in place in these areas wearing civilian garments; it’s likely that concomitant with the joint Turkish operations against the HRK guerrillas, a large-scale wave of civilian arrests would take place,” the statement concluded
