DIYARBAKIR, — Kurdish political prisoner Husen Xizri who was executed by the Iranian regime on 5th January was revered today in the capital of Kurdistan, Diyarbakir.
Before his execution Kurdish martyr Xizri willed for a memorial ceremony in the capital of Kurdistan if his execution was carried out.
The freedom-loving people of Diyarbakir fulfilled Xizri’s will and held a memorial ceremony for him today at 10 am.
In the ceremony they held his posters and repeated the motto of “the martyrs will never die”.
Husen Xizri from East of Kurdistan (west-Iran) made a will for a memorial ceremony after his death in Diyarbakir, North Kurdistan (southeast Turkey).
Xizri’s will signify a great message that sparks a storm of fear in the hearts of the occupying powers of Kurdistan. The message is the unification of Kurdistan and the lack of recognition for the pseudo-borders among the Kurdish people.
Prior to the emergence of the Kurdistan Workers party (PKK), there was not such a discourse. There was Turkish Kurdistan, Iraqi Kurdistan, Iranian Kurdistan and Syrian Kurdistan. Kurdistan was belonged to the occupying powers, not belonged to the Kurds.
The emergence of PKK negated all such concepts and averted all the classical mentalities justifying dependence on the occupiers or the “external factors” for survival.
The news discourse of North Kurdistan (Turkey), East Kurdistan (Iran), West Kurdistan (Syria) and South Kurdistan (Iraq) came to the table.
Now a Kurdish political activist and a member of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK), from East Kurdistan make will for a memorial ceremony in the North Kurdistan, in the capital of Kurdistan, in the city of resistance, in the castle of our struggle against colonialism.
