URMIYE, — Kurdish political prisoner Husen Xizri was executed in 5th January, yet his body has not been handed to his family, report said today.
Prior to his execution Husen Xizri had willed for a memorial ceremony in the capital of Kurdistan Diyarbakir. “If my execution was carried out, I will for a memorial ceremony in the city of Diyarbakir,” Xizri had told his fellow prisoners.
A special team of Iranian officials went to Urmiye Prison on 2th January to execute Xizri. For some reason his execution was not carried out until 5th January.
The Iranian authorities did not inform the public about his execution until 15th January.
