NORTH KURDISTAN, — While the Kurdish guerrilla forces are in the position of non-action, the military operations of Turkish army have become a commonplace in Kurdistan.
The Kurdish Defence Forces (HPG) warned that it would respond to these offensives, if Turkish army not halt their operations.
First HPG’s response was in 16th December in which a Turkish military was killed.
According to HPG’s statement another responsive attack was carried out on 18th December, in which a Turkish armoured vehicle known as “scorpion” was destroyed.
The “scorpion” was targeted by the HGP forces while it was exiting from a military base in Ziwo from Bashan district.
HPG is the military wing of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which resist to the Turkish oppression of the Kurdish people.
