HEWLER, Southern Kurdistan, — Turkey seeks for the aid of its neighbours to fight against the Kurdish resistance movement, the PKK.
To achieve this Turkish authorities have appealed to the Kurdish authority in Northern Iraq (Southern Kurdistan), while the Kurdish officials in South has regularly rejected Turkish quest to fight the PKK.
Turkish foreign minister unexpectedly travelled to Southern Kurdistan and met with President of Federal Kurdistan Region, Massoud Barzani and other officials.
Turkish press reported that Davutoglu only discussed with representatives of Iraqi and Kurdish parties about forming a new government in Iraq. But it’s believed that PKK and Kurdish question was also on the agenda of Davutoglu.
