URMIYE, Eastern Kurdistan, — Semed Ehmedi a Kurdish political prisoner was killed another atrocious torture he received in Urmiye Prison.
According to the local news reporters Mr. Ehmedi fell sick in Urmiye prison due to the extensive torture he received and as the result of that he lost his life in Urmiye Hospital where he had been taken for treatment.
Mr. Ehmedi was arrested in Urmiye in the summer months; fell sick after the torture applied on him and lost his life in the hospital he was taken for treatment.
Mr. Ehmedi was reported to be a member of Komele, Kurdish opposition left party. He formerly stayed in Urmiye and Tabriz prisons for 5 years, lived in exile in Kazrun Province for 2 years and after his release he resumed taking part in his struggle for the Kurdish liberation.
Due to his political practices, Ehmedi was arrested again by the Iranian regime in the summer months of 2010 and was subjected to heavy tortures as a result of which he lost his life.
