Danile Voguet: KCK Trial is absurd

DIYARBAKIR, Northern Kurdistan, — According to Firat News Agency the lawyer and member of the French Communist Party who observed the trail of Kurdish politicians said no evidences are brought against Kurdish politicians on trial and the trial is absurd.

Various delegations attended Diyarbakir to observe the so called “KCK Trial” in which 151 Kurdish politicians and activists have to defend themselves against the charge of being ”terrorist”.

Danile Voguet, lawyer and member of the French Communist Party who attended the trial, said that the evidences brought against the defendants’ draws a parallel between the process in Turkey and the French governments’ support to the Nazis.

A question comes to mind, says the lawyer: ‘Who is terrorist? A movement struggling for a nation or a State which tortures children and sends them to prison? I was here – he adds – when the trial against workers and their trade unionists from Confederation of the Revolutionary Workers Trade Unions (DISK) was on after September 12 coup. Those are similar cases. There were no evidences against them and now the same film is being shown regarding the Kurds. I couldn’t see any appropriate evidences. What I saw in here is that only some absurd evidences which no democratic court counts on them as evidences.”
