DIYARBAKIR, Northern Kurdistan, — Turkish High Court sentenced 8 Kurds to six years and eight months imprisonment for clapping hands while a song praising Kurdish guerrillas was played.
Diyarbakir 4th High Criminal Court ruled that the defendants showed support for the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) by clapping their hands while a song praising guerrillas was played on the background.
