Northern Kurdistan–According to the Firat News Agency, Kurds in Northern Kurdistan closed all the shops in respect of the death of Kurdish people defense forces guerrilla.
Shopkeepers and Bazzaris in Doğubeyazıt closed up their shops for the funeral of HPG (People’s Defense Forces) guerrilla Ahmet Salih Yıldırım’ code name (Brusk Azman), who lost his life in the clash near Boztepe (Gordê) Village and Dêm Hill of Tendürek Mountain in Ağrı.
The Kurds from his town of birth organized public funeral. It has been stated that Yıldırım will be buried in Doğubeyazıt City Cemetery at midday hours today.
While the shopkeepers in the county didn’t open their shops by early hours in the morning, soldiers and policemen laid siege to many areas in the town. In addition to the armored vehicles and mobile force units positioned on all side streets on the way to the cemetery, a TOMA (a special police vehicle that has been replacing panzer recently) was located in front of the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) building on Ağrı Street.
