520 families became victim of Iranian artillery bombardment, UN still silent:

SENGESER, Southern Kurdistan–Iran is continuing its artillery bombardment on South Kurdistan despite the Holy Ramadan: 520 families living in the border area, according to the local sources are displaced and had to take shelter in Sengeser district of the Federal Kurdistan Region.

Iranian mortar shell attacks restarted just after the unilateral ceasefire declared by Kurdistan Democratic Confederation KCK on 13 August which was also the beginning of the Holy Ramadan.

Iranian army also bombed 7 villages in Pishder region of Qandil on 23 August which left a villager injured and 18 families homeless who later on took refuge in Jarawe and Sengeser districts.

It is reported that while hundreds of families were displaced because of the Iranian aggression on the South Kurdistan a number humanitarian organizations from United Arab Emirates UAE provided the IDP families in Sengeser with food aid.

According to ANF records since the beginning of May 2010 while at least 4 civilians including 2 children were killed 10 villagers were injured in the Iranian and Turkish aggression on South Kurdistan.

However, UN still silent and have not yet taken any effective steps to prevent Iranian regime from further violation of International law. Under UN charter Article 2 (4) “states must restrain from use of force against other independent and sovereign states”.

It is worth noting that last year Iranian revolutionary guards occupied Iraqi oil field in south Iraq, International community particularly EU and US took an immediate action against the Iranian violation of International law and demanded Iranian immediate withdrawal. However, since last few years Iranian revolutionary guards continuously bombarding Southern Kurdistan, International community specially EU and US have not condemned Iranian violation of UN Charter and International law.
