Danish government launched case against Kurdish satellite channel Roj Tv:

COPENHAGN, Denmark– The Danish Chief Prosecutor Joergen Steen Soerensen reported that a case against the Kurdish satellite television Roj TV was launched on account of encouraging the activities of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). Although German High Court referred Roj Tv case to the European Court because of the lack of the evidence, Danish government is continuing EUs discriminatory policies against the Kurdish people.

While Roj TV does not have any studios in Denmark it was granted broadcasting license by the Danish authorities.

Since the foundation of Roj TV on 1 March 2004 it faces pressure by the Turkish government. The Turkish state has also pressurised the Danish authorities in order to cancel the license given to Roj TV.

The pressure that Roj TV faces has increased since last year. Turkey has also sent Danish judiciary 26 files against Roj TV.

It is worth noting that although Iranian regime is considered as international terrorist sponsor, its English language satellite channel “Press Tv” is operating freely in London. A Branch of Press Tv based in east London, some of its programs are run by the British politicians.

Roj Tv is a Kurdish cultural and linguistic satellite channel tv, however, Press Tv is inciting terrorist operation all around the world particularly incites hatred and aggressive violence against Jewish state Israel.

Of course, Danish act against the Roj Tv has been ordered by the EU parliament in order to keep turkey on their line and exploit turkey for their purposes in the middle east.

Since last week two Kurdish newspapers in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan were banned by the Turkish state, EU and US who claim they are supporting freedom of expression chose not to condemn Turkish act against the banning of the Kurdish cultural and linguistic newspapers because Turkey is serving their political and economic purposes in Middle East.
