Democratic Autonomy celebrated in Northern Kurdistan

NORTHERN KURDISTAN, Turkey, — The Kurdish people in Northern Kurdistan celebrated the declaration of democratic autonomy in Hakkari and its counties.

According to the local news sources the Kurdish people in the city if Hakkari marched through the city to celebrate the declaration of democratic autonomy in Northern Kurdistan, Turkey.

The marches under the name ‘preserving existence and gaining independence’ will also be organized on Monday in Hakkari, Şemdinli, Çukurca, Yüksekova and Esendere. 

The declaration of People’s Initiative recorded that the Kurdish people appropriate ‘Democratic Autonomous Kurdistan’ preference and stated that this is a historical turning point. 

Calling Kurdish people in Hakkari and counties to the areas, People Initiative stated; “Our freedom fight has carried itself to 4th phase. Against our freedom struggle, war has been insisted as the only way out. Kurdish people has called Democratic Autonomous Kurdistan by using its self-determination right. Therefore, it is of vital importance for any honorable Kurdish person not to opt out of the resistance. Our democratic autonomous system, which is the only preference of our people, will be declared in Amed. In this sense, our people must close up their shops and join the march at 14:00 in Hakkari and its counties, which have a significant place in Kurdistan.
