Kurdistan, Lorestan’s forest set on fire

LORESTAN, KURDISTAN, – Iran, — The jungles of Kurdistan and Lorestan have been set on fire by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards on the grounds that the Free Life Party of Kurdistans Guerrillas using the forest as a shelter.

According to Lor agency, the minister of Lorestan’s nature has stated that several thousands of Lorestan’s jungles in many places and mountains such as Sefied and Periz Mountains and the villages of around spring Serenja until Asper valley near to Dorod Town have been fired in Lorestan’s region.

Moreover, since the last few weeks many jungles in many places of Kurdistan such as Shaho Mountains, the jungle of Shemame in Jwanro, The Mountains of around Meriwan and Serpolzehaw region have been set on fire intentionally by Iranian regime.

Despite the fact that the jungles of most of Kurdistan and Lorestan regions have been burned, the Iranian government has not attempted to extinguish and even did not let civilians to quench the fire, although constitutionally it is the regimes obligation to protect the country’s forest and natural resources.
