TEHRAN, Iran — Sadeq Laricany, the chief of Iranian Islamic Republic’s Judiciary has criticised the system of education for having subjects such as sociology and psychology.
Sadeq Laricany antagonised with the humanities subjects in Iran and questioned: “in a country that is based on religion and has formed on believing in God and Quran, is it a good idea to study the subjects opposing them?” He continued and said: “there is no point in studying psychology and sociology which are based on possibilities, these subjects contradict the religions.”
Fulmination of the humanity’s subjects has started since the time that Ali Khameney, the top leader of Islamic Republic of Iran, condemned these subjects. Since then a group of people have been requesting for a cultural revolution at the Iranian universities.
