Striking partnership in South Kurdistan between MIT and Parastin

MIT & Parastin

Striking information on the arson of KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party) and Rudaw TV offices in Hewlêr came to light. People arrested by the PUK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) affiliated intelligence agency Zanyari confessed that they were tied to the KDP, and received special training on such attacks in the camps jointly established by the Turkish Intelligence Agency MIT and KDP’s intelligence agency Parastin.

JOINT TRAINING CAMPS

Special warfare units are trained in camps jointly established in South Kurdistan by the MIT and Parastin. The camps in Kuştepe near Hewlêr and Zawita in Duhok are the main examples of these camps.

In Kuştepe camp, units receive training on sabotage, assassination, abduction, interrogation and enemy tracking. MIT members carry out the training, which mainly aim the abduction of Kurdish Freedom Movement’s members and sympathizers. Similarly, ending the alliance of PUK and Gorran is one of the main objectives of the camps.

The Zawita Camp, on the other hand, mainly targets the administrators of the PKK. Units receive training on assassination, and a meeting bringing together high-level officials from the MIT and Parastin has recently taken place in the camp. Discussions and planning of intelligence regarding the areas of Garê, Metîna and Qandil took place during the meeting.

THEY PLANNED ARSON ATTACKS TOGETHER

The arson of KDP’s Silêmanî, Helebce and Ranya offices and the Hewlêr office of Rudaw TV, a partner of the MIT, have been carried out by this joint center. The blaming of Gorran Movement for these attacks showed that the perpetrators aimed to end the PUK-Gorran alliance. In this way, the KDP aims to end the collaboration between the PUK and Gorran Movement. However, the confessions of the people arrested by the PUK-affiliated intelligence organization Zanyari and anti-terror units have exposed the plans of the MIT and Parastin. These detainees confessed that they were affiliated with the KDP, and received training in camps jointly established by the MIT and Parastin.

Similarly, the statements of police officers that were at the Rudaw TV office in Hewlêr suggesting that the perpetrators of the arson were KDP members shed light on the powers responsible for the recent attacks.

THEY PLANNED INTERNAL CLEANSING AND BLAME THE YPG FOR IT

In the midst of all these developments, KDP-related websites carry out propaganda suggesting that a unit named Çarçıra similar to Kurdistan Freedom Falcons (TAK) would soon be established in Rojava and carry out abduction, sabotage, and assassination actions against KDP officials. In this way, the KDP aims to eliminate the Kurdish National Council (KNC; in Kurdish: Encûmena Niştimanî ya Kurdî li Sûriyê, ENKS), which has not been successful in damaging the revolution in Rojava. Through its new and covert organization, the KDP plans assassinations and internal cleansing of certain KNC members and blame them on the YPG.
