STOCKHOLM, – Amir Karimi (Emir Kerimi) coordination member of PJAK (Free Life Party of Kurdistan) warned Iran for the execution of two Kurdish political prisoners stating that they will respond to the Iranian authorities.
In a demonstration taking place in Stockholm in protest to the executions of two members of PJAK, Gulperipur and Ismaili, Kerimi warned Iranian authorities in front of their embassy in Stockholm.
PJAK’s coordination member, Emir Kerimi condemned the execution of 2 Kurds and 16 Beluchs renouncing the discriminations against the Kurds and other nationalities that has increased since Rouhani government.
He stated “we want the Kurdish problem in Iran to be solved in a democratic and political process. Hence we requested Iran to change its strategies and take a step forward. Yet, the regime responded by hanging our members. They want to eliminate Kurdish sovereignty completely. The Iranian regime tries to depict itself as peaceful and moderate to the international community, yet, in reality they have been aggressive as usual toward other nations in Iran. Therefore, we as the Kurds are confronted with policies of elimination. Hence we have to defend ourselves. As a result we will respond to these policies. We expect the European community not to be silent against this massacre. The European countries should not allow these massacres to continue happening and being covered up by other issues such as Iran’s nuclear weapons and Syrian crises. Rouhani, the Iranian president, is not willing to act democratically inside; rather he is trying to take advantage of moderate attitudes of Europe for further suppression inside. This is proved by the sharp increases in the numbers of executions after the formation of Rouhani government.”
Kerimi added “the Iranian policies are against the Kurdish nation throughout the Middle East. Thus the Kurds from all parts of Kurdistan need to condemn such attitudes. The Kurdistan Regional Government also needs to clarify its position just like the KCK and the PYD did. They need to close their doors to Iranian authorities, security forces and intelligence services, rather than closing it to their brothers and sisters in Western of Kurdistan.”
