IRAN, — The medieval style of punishment by hanging has become the order of the day in Iran. Some commentators have referred to Iranian regime as the Republic Gallows.
According to Mukryan News Agency a Kurd named as Abdullah was executed yesterday in Selmas prison in East Kurdistan.
Another prisoner was executed on yesterday in Behbahan detention in Khuzestan province.
These executions were carried out while three more people were executed on Sunday in Urmiye prison.
The charges against them reported by the Iranian Judiciary are to be drug-trading, but such an accusation is not being confirmed by any independent sources.
Adding these cases, 225 people have been executed in Iran since the start of 2011.
