Following the protest of Sine citizens to the killing of Kurdish kolbers, there is a high security alert in Sine city due to the presence of numerous Riot Police. Moreover, the internet connection has been completely interrupted throughout the city since yesterday. The Iranian Riot police attacked Protestors who had gathered in Sine today in solidarity with Bane people. At least five people were arrested in this conflict.

According to the information obtained by Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), on September 07, Bane citizens continued the protests to the killing of two Kurdish kolbers in Bane border for the fourth day despite the extensive presence of riot police in the streets and main squares of the city while the city’s market remains half-closed.

“After two full days of the closing of the market, some of the shops and business malls in Bane opened today following the pressure imposed on the owners by “Amaken” (General Directorate for Supervising Public Premises). But the riot police, known as” IRGC Special Forces, were still manoeuvring in the main areas of the city to create an atmosphere of fear and terror.”, one of the activists in the city of Bane told KHRN.

“Security forces have arrested at least 17 civilians in the past few days and the detainees have been transferred to an unknown location. Moreover, all the directors of the telegram channels have been summoned, interrogated and threatened for covering the news of the protests in Bane,”, the source added.

“Bane’s internet connection has been completely interrupted since yesterday in order to prevent the spread of Bane protests to other cities. The internet speed in other cities is also much slower.”, the source continued.

Also, following a call by a group of civil activists in Sine for protest rally in Azadi Square, hundreds of citizens in Sine rallied peacefully in solidarity with Bane people while asking for killing of kolbers to be stopped.

Based on the reports received from Sine and Merîwan civil activists, thousands of officers in military uniform and plain clothes have been deployed to Kurdish cities to force the crowd into stopping their democratic demands. Moreover, armed revolutionary guards with motorcycle have reportedly arrested 5 civilians and injured several protestors.

Early Monday morning, Iranian border guards killed Qadir Behramî, 41, and Heyder Ferecî, 22. The two men were reportedly not carrying goods and were simply crossing borders. After carrying the dead bodies of the two men to the hospital, angry protestors stormed into the city hall while breaking the entrance and demanding justice for the victims. In response, armed guards have been positioned across the city center and in front of governmental buildings.
