Gharna massacre

Totally from 1979 to 1982, the Sepah (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC) made at least 14 massacres in Kurdish villages and killed hundreds of civilian people which only 242 of them have been recognized.

About 105 people of that amount were Nexede villagers. Nexede was one of the areas with the most damages and highest number of victims. About 72 people were from Mahabad villages and the rest were from Şino, Pîranşar, Bokan and Ûrmiye.
