HRANA ─ Following the gathering of a group of citizens of Tabriz in protest to the published article in the “Tarhe No” newspaper, a number of protesters were arrested and transferred to an unknown location. Reports indicate the widespread presence of troops and anti-riot vehicles in the city.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), a rally in protest against the published article in the “Tarhe No” newspaper was held on July 26 in Tabriz and at least 15 civilians have been arrested by the security forces or the police so far.
The Azeri citizens protested against publishing a part of Shahnameh in the “Tarhe No” newspaper and know it as an example of racism and racial insults.
