Assadollah Gorjizadeh, director general of prisons in Sine Province of Rojhelat (eastern Kurdistan) pointed out that one of the prisoners in prison in Sine city was sentenced to execution in about 10 years ago and he had to be executed last week. While the order of the execution was to perform but as the victim’s family prevented the execution so he rescued from death. Since last year till this moment 8 times such a situation has happened and victim’s families have prevented execution and the guilty prisoner has been survived.
There is in Rojhelat a group named Aşitî (Peace), includes Kurdish artists and well known personalities, are working to stop executions. They are trying to improve forgiveness culture, which victim’s family forgive and prevent guilty to be executed. In last year numbers of the victim’s families who disagree with execution has been increased in Rojhelat.
The campaign to defend civil and political prisoners in Iran has announced that a mother who her son has been killed, visited the prison of Sine (Sanandaj) city and stopped of executing the guilty prisoner who killed her son. She is originally from Sine city and opened the rope from guilty prisoner’s neck with her hands in exchange for the building of a school for children.
According to the information from the same source, another Kurdish from Rojhelat, Reza Jalali from Kirmaşan city, sentenced to death after 9 years and was jailed till this moment, he was rescued by the victim’s family who he killed their son.
