These images demonstrate the Kurdish Kolbers life and circumstances in Kurdistan, people who carry goods across the border on their back, back carriers.
Kurdish Kolbers really challenging and put a lot of effort to make living and look after their families. As they do not have any benefits and governments have not provide any work opportunity. Consequently, they have to take this risk to feed the families. Tens of them have been killed by Iranian military forces every year.
The main border is a border between East and South of Kurdistan, which the vast majority of Kolbers are using to provide food and living for their families. The majority of them are from East of Kurdistan who are in devastated situations.
Plenty of Kolbers have been disabled and killed every year on that border by Iranian regime. These images show and explain some part of Kolbers life during the work.
