Courses of Kurdish Language - Meriwan

Despite the refusal of the Iranian regime to study in Kurdish at schools, courses of Kurdish have been held in various cities in Rojhelat (East Kurdistan). This has caused many to encourage citizens to learn their native language.

According to Firat News Agency, on the 16th of Tuesday, there was a celebration that was held with the successful participants in a course of “Kurdish language education” by the cultural centre of Vejin, cultural-scientific organization of Ronan and literary-cultural society of Meriwan that began this summer in Meriwan.

In the course of this year, regardless of Sorani Kurdish dialect was taught the Kurmanji and Hewrami dialects which were awarded certificates to the top people at the end of the course.

Marivan is one of the most vibrant cities in East Kurdistan which has played a significant role in the current years, culturally, literary, and artisticly. In particular the environmental practices also protect the natural wealth of Kurdistan.

According to Article 15 of the Iranian constitution, “it is authorized to teach the native language in schools” while the regime school officials have seen the look of security at the issue of teaching a language of other nationalities, in Iran its called sub-cultures.
