The guerrillas of YRK (East Kurdistan Defense Units) was dispatched a group of their troops to Şengal (Sinjar) to protect the lives of thousands of Kurdish residents who are stranded in the city mountains.
Many residents of Şengal have been caught yet in mountains surrounding the city. They say they are looking for the freedom of their city and never migrated.
Among the guerrilla forces sent to Şengal, seen a group of women units who have been deployed already there.
Viyan Apoçî, commander for women’s unit says: “we will protect the people of Şengal from any attack by terrorist group of ISIS and hegemonic forces. ISIS is enemy of women and we cannot be silent in the face of such inhuman positions.
The YRK commander Dersim Gabar said: “we must put an end to the savagery of ISIS. This is our main historical task and that’s why we’re here”.
Another guerrilla Seyîdxan Rojhelat also insists that they have vowed to defend the people of Şengal up to the last moment if life”.
Piling Zagros other guerrilla of YRK asked all Kurdish young people to participate in the holy defense of Kurdistan people and land.
While the Kurdish guerrillas are deployed to the battlefield, on Tuesday APOist youths of Merivan have attempted to attach a statement of KCR (Youth Community of East Kurdistan), HPJ (Women’s Defence Forces) and YRK (East Kurdistan Defense Units) in the city asked the Kurdsih youths to join the ranks of guerrilla. The statement also warned of Iranian policy toward the spread of drug addiction in Rojhelat.
