News coming from Irans’ prisons, political prisoners have been on a hunger strike to support the demands of their cellmates and Iranian regime uses them in solitary confinement to prevent the spread of discontent prisoners to other parts of the prison.
Mihemed Emin Abdullahi, Kurdish political prison has attempted a hunger strike also he was transferred to solitary confinement of Tabas Prison to protest the non-compliant with his parole, denial of leave and continued imprisonment in exile on Monday 31 of March.
In this regard on Wednesday 2th March, Fexredin Fereci another Kurdish political prison of Tabas Jail who was on the hunger strike in support of Mihemed Emin Abdullahi was beaten and insulted by the prison authorities, then he was transferred to solitary confinement as well.
An informed source said: “because in solitary confinement of Tabas Prison, it is customary to use hand straps and shackles for prisoners, perhaps Abdulahi and Fereci have tied with chains in inhumane manner.
On the other hand Arash Mohammadi, the imprisoned leftist student activist, has begun hunger strike announcing his support to Shahrokh Zamani’s demand of being returned to Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj. Human Right Activists News Agency (HRANA) reported.
Shahrokh Zamani, the member of the provisional board for reopening of House-Painter Workers’ Union and the Follow-up Committee to Set up Free Labor Organizations is on hunger strike since March 11th when he was exiled from Rajai Shahr Prison to Ghezelhesar Prison both in Karaj.
Arash Mohammadi and a group of students were arrested on June 15, 2013 by the IRGC intelligence forces. He was sentenced to 6 months in prison by branch 3 of Tabriz revolutionary court on the charges of propaganda against the regime.
In the latest action by the international community against inhumane policies of Molla’s regime, yesterday Europe Parliament adopted a resolution against the Iranian government listed “ In Iran still remains systematic violations of human rights and fundamental rights, and Iranian regime still refuses to cooperate with UN bodies on human rights also Iran with denying entry visa to the United Nation Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran, has prevented from performing his duties”.
