According to the report from Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Seyed Sami Hoseyni and Cemal Mohemmedi, two Kurdish political prisoners in central prison of Urmiye have been sentenced to death penalty and 10 years in prison on charge of killing a member of the Revolutionary Guards (Sepah) by the Urmiye Criminal Court.
The Criminal Court of Urmiye had convicted them to death for murder also 10 years in custody in allegation of destruction of state property without the presence of their family’s only reference to the legal representative of Ettelaat.
Seyed Sami Hoseyni and Cemal Mohemmedi were arrested by Selmas’s security forces in 2008. After three months and 10 days in solitary cell and coping with the physical torture of detention in Xoy Revolutionary Court department, they were sentenced to execution in allegation of supporting the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK).
After the intervention of the defendant’s lawyer in 2012, they demanded to restore hearing about these two Kurdish political prisoners’ cases. However, they have been sentenced again by the Supreme Court for 10 years in prison and exile to Qazvin and Tehran jails on charge of collaborating with the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK).
Two Kurdish political prisoners were convicted on murder in Penal Court Branch 16 in Urmiye while previously there was no this charge in the Urmiye Revolutionary Court Branch one.
However, one of the relatives of the detainees told the HRANA correspondent that, this is the new strategy for the Iranian security organisations, when the political prisoner’s cases of accused of membership in PJAK are failed in the Enghelab Court, then in the General Court they accused them on murdering of their member to finally be able to execute them.
Finally he noted that in earlier this year, a Kurdish prisoner from Turkey, finished his time being in prison but was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court on charge of murdering a member of Revolutionary Guards (Sepah).
Last week the sentences have been announced them in the central prison of Urmiye. What is more, on their previous convictions accounts, the two prisoners were sentenced each to 20 years imprisonment and death penalty.
On the other hand, the human rights advocates are worrying and expressed their concern on fate of a Kurdish student who was sentenced to death, is being held in Zabol Prison. Campaign in Defense of Civil and Political Prisoners said Arman Perwizi, who was a University student, was held in Rasht Prison for a while. He has recently been moved to Zabol prison and will be hanged at any time. The Iranian regime declared that, He was charged on acting against national security and “Moharebe” convicted to death in Rasht Court.
Eli and Hebib Efshari two Kurdish political prisoners were sentenced to death again. They are two brothers from Mehabad city, one of them is paralyzed due to severe tortures and his hand infection. These two brothers were sentenced to death on accused of the membership in one of the Kurdish political parties.
On top of that, there is some negative and worrying news released about the fate of the young Kurdish political prisoners Loqman Moradi, who is sentenced to death, in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj. His cousin Zanyar Moradi, who is in prison on the same case of Loqman Moradi’s, in recent days he met his family and expressed his concern about Loqman execution. Moradi families said that their sons did not kill Imam’s son in Meriwan and they are innocent. He was killed by Hiwa Tab, who was a member of revolutionary forces, Moradi families say.
